I am a second-year Ph.D. student at Kahlert School of Computing - The University of Utah. I am working with Dr. Jacobus (Kobus) Van der Merwe. My areas of interests are distributed systems, networks and mobile networks.

Before coming for Ph.D., I was working as a research assistant at Computer Science department at LUMS, Pakistan. I worked with Dr. Zafar Ayyub Qazi and Dr. Taqi Raza.

Selected Projects

Cellclone - I worked on designing and developing a new control plane to accelerate edge applications in cellular networks. The proposed design masks failures and stragglers in control-plane functions. I implemented the active-replication-based design and compared it with other proposed systems under failure and straggler scenarios.

Neutrino - At LUMS, I worked on designing and developing a new cellular control plane for low-latency applications. I focused on implementing the cellular data plane with intel's UPF to evaluate the performance of our improved control plane design.

PAAS - At COMSATS, Lahore, I worked on developing an e-assessment system for C/C++ programming assignments. I implemented a module that generates control-flow graphs of C/C++ functions and compares their structural similarities. I also worked on developing a string-based plagiarism detection system that uses Rabin-Karp greedy sting tiling algorithm. The Govt. of Pakistan funded this research project.
